You have two options to get care
Option 1: Use your own provider’s virtual care services
Many providers or health care systems are providing virtual care services.
Visit their website for sign-in and visit instructions or contact them to begin care.
Option 2: Amwell virtual care service
Amwell doctors are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In just minutes you can create an account and be online with a doctor.
Amwell virtual care isn’t meant to replace your primary care provider (PCP). It is designed to reduce non-emergency and walk-in clinic visits when your PCP isn’t available.
When you book your Amwell virtual care appointment, the appointment scheduler will provide an estimated cost for your entire virtual care visit. However, you will not have to provide payment until after your virtual care visit. Please note, the exact coverage amounts are based on your specific plan.
Follow these steps to get care from Amwell:
- Visit amwell.com or download the Apple or Android app
- Create an account or login to your existing account.
- Enter service key: BCBSND
- Enter your Member ID number, located on your BCBSND member card
- Enter the name and date of birth of the policy holder
- Choose the type of visit you need, scroll through providers and select one to begin your visit.
