Metal Levels

Metal levels were assigned to plans as a result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Each metal represents a different level of coverage. Your out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., the amount you may be required to pay for covered services due to deductibles, coinsurance or co-payments) are greatest under the Bronze level plan and least under the Platinum level plan.
