2027 Change Notification Series: Oct. 8

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) commercial members will begin migrating to new systems beginning Jan. 1, 2027, as previously noted in this HealthCare News article. The latest information providers need to know about this migration is available on the Provider Support Hub.

We also updated the pharmacy and reimbursement policy sections of the Provider Support Hub.

Pharmacy updates

2027 formularies for migrated and non-migrated members (current as of October 2026) are now available.

Reimbursement policy updates

We published migrated member reimbursement policies on Sept. 24, 2026. The following policies, effective Jan. 1, 2027, are updated:

• Global Days (Administrative #101)
• Injection and Infusion Services (Administrative #109)
• Maternity Care (Medicine #107)
• Preventive Medicine and Evaluation and Management Visits (Administrative #133)
• Virtual Care (Administrative #132)
