High Deductible Plan F includes the comprehensive benefits of regular Plan F, but you manage your health care costs until you've reached the calendar year deductible amount. After that, the plan functions like regular Plan F. Having a high deductible can reduce your monthly premiums.
As of January 1, 2020, Medicare supplements sold to people who are new to Medicare** are no longer allowed to cover the Part B deductible. Because of this, High Deductible Plan F isn't available if you're new to Medicare on or after January 1, 2020.
If you already have High Deductible Plan F and are covered prior to January 1, 2020, you'll be able to keep your plan. If you were eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020, but haven't enrolled yet, you may be able to buy this plan.
After your deductible is met, High Deductible Plan F benefits cover these expenses:
*Estimated Premium Costs
*The application you submit to Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, along with other information we may collect, is how we determine your eligibility for coverage and rates in effect at the time coverage is issued.
When and if a policy for you is approved, the actual rates may vary from the rates on this page, based on your specific application and additional information required by BCBSND to complete the application process. BCBSND reserves the right to change rates from time to time.
** People new to Medicare are those who turn 65 on or after January 1, 2020, and those who first become eligible for Medicare benefits due to age, disability, or end-stage renal disease on or after January 1, 2020.
