Because of a rule called the "continuous coverage" rule, which was in place during the Public Health Emergency until March 31, 2023, Medicaid is checking if people still qualify. If you or someone you know has Medicaid Expansion, here are a couple of important things to do.
First, make sure your contact information is up to date. This way, the Department of Human Services (DHS) can send you a packet for renewing your coverage and let you know when it's time to renew.
If you have Medicaid, watch for a big envelope from North Dakota Health and Human Services in your mailbox. Inside, you'll find the forms to renew your Medicaid. You can also check the Department of Health and Human Services website to see when you need to renew. Make sure to fill out the renewal form and send it back so you don't lose your Medicaid coverage. It's important!
